RACHEL MILLER PROMOTIONAL VIDEO
"When I first decided to establish Rachel Miller Bridal Hair back in 2016, I wanted to create a promotional video to feature one of my brides and of course my work. Sophie got married to Tom back in July 2017 after 10 years together, at her family home in North Yorkshire. Their wedding day was a beautiful backdrop in her family's garden, under a stretch tent. I got all her bridal party ready in Sophie's old bedroom and took Abi from Media Melon along with me to film the morning. I couldn't be happier with the outcome. Sophie was so kind to let me film her morning and the video went viral on facebook reaching over 20,000 accounts....take a look." - Rachel
JESS & ADAM AT THICKET PRIORY
Jessica contacted me 18 months before her wedding for 10th August 2024. When I met her at her trial, she told me that her and her future husband had met online and had been inseparable ever since. It was the first time I had been to Thicket Priory in York, this venue is just incredible. As I walked up the main staircase to the bridal suite, the florist was adding flowers to the stair banister and it just looked and smelt amazing. Jessica wore her hair completely away from her face but I suggested we added a little texture in the front to give it some definition, so we added a plait running into a beautiful textured bun at the back. Congratulations to you and Adam, Mr And Mrs Wright!
DANBY CASTLE WEDDING IN WHITBY
Abbie was one of my brides on the 10th May 2019 in Whitby along with her sister and 3 friends as bridesmaids. I stayed over the night before nearby and they got married at Danby Castle. She wore a beautiful bespoke wedding dress made by Emma Beaumont - I’ve never seen anything like it. She wore her hair down, loose and wavy with a plait for texture which worked perfectly with her style. Abbie is a wedding photographer herself (her work is in my gallery!) who I met at a wedding we did together the year before. I was very honoured when she asked me to do her bridal party’s hair as she of course meets so many hairdressers.
THE SARAH & JOE SHOW AT THE NORMANS
Sarah got married at the Norman’s in York at the end of May 2019. It was the first time I had been to this venue and it was stunning. I got the bridal party of 5 ready in their 'getting ready cottage' on site. Sarah wore a geometric reverse tiara and added a veil below the hair to show off the detail. She has now moved to L.A. with her husband, Joe.
WHIMSICAL WONDERLAND WEDDINGS
Rustic & Relaxed Wildflower Barn Wedding in Yorkshire
On Saturday 1st June 2019, I went to Chevin Country Park Hotel to get my bride Kirsty, and her bridal party ready for the wedding day at Chilli Barn in Otley. At Kirsty's trial, she wanted to trial some hair extensions for extra volume as has naturally very short fine hair. She had previously matched up her hair colour to some clip in extensions which worked perfectly with her chosen relaxed plaited hairstyle. We then popped in some delicate gypsophila. Fun & Personalised Wedding with Colourful Blooms
On Friday 10th August 2018, I arrived at Liza’s family home in Rawdon. My bride had decided to have a crown braid with plenty of colourful fresh flowers as well as a double comb veil. Liza and Adam got legally married at Leeds Town Hall in the morning then went onto Left Bank to have the humanist ceremony they had always wanted. Read Liza's blurb about myself under the 'Beauty' section.
RANDY FENOLI
Katie & Joe
On Saturday 20th October 2018, I got my bride Katie and her 7 bridesmaids ready for the wedding day at Wharfedale Grange in Harrogate. Katie has naturally thick long red hair that was a perfect base for her desired 'hair down' hairstyle. We pinned a few sections up away from her face and added fresh gypsophila. The bridesmaids all had hair down also to 'match' with added plaits to add more texture.
Yorkshire Bride Magazine
On June 17th 2017, I was the hair stylist for Emma Boycott's wedding party at her parents house in Boston Spa, Leeds. In February 2018 her wedding featured in Yorkshire Bride Magazine. Emma chose to have her hair half up half down with large natural curls, with the added extra of an Ian Stuart veil to match her dress. Her 4 bridesmaids had their hair up with fresh flowers, and again, also coordinated perfectly with Ian Stuart dresses.
